It began with a simple conviction: students deserve a stage that challenges them at the highest level. In 2023, the DRMC Business and Career Club transformed that conviction into the first International Business Summit — a single-day event that drew hundreds of participants and set a new benchmark for student-led competitions in Bangladesh.

The response was overwhelming. Schools across Dhaka — and beyond — showed up not just to compete, but to learn, to connect, and to prove themselves. The 2nd edition expanded the scope, deepened the competition tracks, and welcomed a record number of institutions. By then, IBS was no longer just an event. It was a tradition.

Now in its third year, the summit enters a new era — larger in scale, richer in content, and more ambitious in vision than ever before.

Bangladesh has no shortage of school competitions. IBS is different in one fundamental way: it is entirely student-conceived, student-organised, and student-judged — under the mentorship of DRMC's faculty advisors.

Every event format, every judging rubric, every operational detail is designed by members of the DRMC Business and Career Club. That means participants compete with people who understand exactly what competing feels like — because they've been there.

The result is an event that takes itself seriously, because the people running it take themselves seriously.
